Barbwire & Bows

Vintage Quality - Modern Durability Did you have a favorite blanket growing up? Chances are it was handmade by a Grandma, Aunt, Friend or Neighbor and maybe you even still have it? The fabrics are worn, the binding falling off but it's been well loved. This is what inspires me! Each blanket here is handmade one at a time by me, using the best quality fabrics available so you know they will stand the test of time too. With over 300 fabrics in-stock you can customize the perfect blanket for the perfect, almost homemade gift or choose one for yourself - they come in adult sizes too! The days are long but the years are short so snuggle up and enjoy the season!

ReCreated

Making new from old. I build wooden home décor using reclaimed wood with beautiful imperfections. From previous nail holes to knots, and patina from age and weather; each piece is individually unique and one of a kind. In 2015, what started out as building a clock for myself, and sharing it on social media, has turned into a fun side gig, and creative outlet. I build more than just clocks now... everything from floating shelves, barndoors, side tables, hexagon shelves, trees, snowflakes, star ornaments, wall décor, and more. Before I can design and build, I need to procure the reclaimed wood, which comes from old barns, homes, and fencing. The big job of transporting, dismantling, nail removal, and clean up, all happens before it can become a new creation. But the beautiful end result is worth all the effort. I'm new to Etsy this year, and I'm excited that my designs can now be enjoyed outside my local community.

I have always known I wanted to do something with my artistic talent. Little did I know it would lead to an awesome career.  My artwork is inspired from the mountains of the PNW to the beaches of Hawaii. These places have pushed me to pursue creating something different than what others have done; to be original. I have always dreamed of one day putting all of these things together.  To make something that everyone will not only love, but also appreciate the creativity and uniqueness of each piece. Everything I make is hand done and finished by myself. It gives me a huge sense of accomplishment to take something from start to finish and see what will become of it, because the garments you wear and how you wear them, become your own artwork. I truly hope that you love all of my products as much as I have loved creating them.

After years of having taken photos only here and there, just to have them deleted them because of a “lack of composition,” my photography career hit a turning point in 2016 on a drive to Bellingham, Washington.

Stopping along Hannegan Road while on a date with my wife, I snapped a photo of the Twin Sisters mountains covered in a beautiful blanket of new snow. After arriving home, I noticed that I had captured the barn in the foreground as well! I began to realize that maybe I could take great photographs after all. I purchased my first camera a few months later from a local garage sale.

Why landscapes? My passion for landscape photography is inspired by, and goes hand-in-hand with, my love for weather. Since 2016 I've been published, commissioned, won local photo contests, and even been featured on the local Lyndenopoly board game!

I love living a sustainable and frugal lifestyle. I want to do the things I love, every day of my life. I'm not working toward a future retirement, I'm living my life now, loving what I do every day. Making soap and skincare items provides me an artistic outlet while supporting my love for a sustainable lifestyle.

There is a rewarding and fantastic world surrounding us. It's our duty to make sure we appreciate every moment God has given us on this green earth in this free country. Like I always say, life is too short to worry about being tall.
